Greeley Stampede Squirts are the Colorado Cup Runner Ups

Congratulations to the GYHA Stampede Squirt B team for placing second in the Colorado Cup tournament in Colorado Springs January 1^st –  3^rd!

In its first tournament of the year, the Squirt B team took home the second place trophy after losing a hard-fought battle to Arapahoe Navy 4-2.  Arapahoe is the defending Squirt B State Champion team.

The Stampede paved its way to the Championship game by defeating four CCYHL teams in this prominent tournament.  In pool play, the Stampede defeated the CHC Rampage 4-1, Arapahoe Maize 6-4, and the Colorado Springs Association All-Stars 8-2.  In the semifinals the Stampede won a gritty game over Colorado Springs by a score of 4-2 on the Jr. Tigers home Ice. 

The Squirt B players are looking to carry their success into the last half of the CDYHL season and the Arvada MLK tournament January 15^th-18^th.
