2010
is the 4th year for the Greeley Youth Hockey Association (GYHA).


GYHA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a developmental youth hockey program to the Greeley Community and surrounding areas


 

 
Governed by an elected Board of Directors (click here for by-laws), GYHA fields teams under the Greeley Stampede name. Players will range in age from 7-18, and play on the following age- and skill-appropriate team:

 DNHL

  • Squirt (Birth years 2000, 2001)

  • PeeWee (Birth years 1998, 1999)

  • Bantam (Brith years 1996, 1997)

  • Midget (Birth years 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995)


  CDYHL

  • Pee-Wee A (Birth years 1996, 1997)
  • Midget Minor A (Birth years 1994, 1995)
  • Midget Major A (Birth years 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995)  

Greeley Youth Hockey Mission 

 

To create and foster an environment where young players can have fun, learn, and prosper at and through playing the sport of hockey

Required Basic Skills & "Correct Attitude"

  • Players are expected to have some previous hockey experience and fundamental skating and stick-handling skills

  • Players are expected to have a positive, team-oriented attitude on & off the ice.


    Coaching

All Stampede coaches must meet the criteria set by the Hockey Director (Al Brown) and the Board of Directors. Coaches must have previous coaching experience, be USA Hockey certified (minimum Level 2 for Squirt, Level 3 for Pee-Wee, Bantam & Midget) in the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program.
